Childhood Unplugged October
I am excited to announce that I have been invited to participate in a group photo project, CHILDHOOD UNPLUGGED! When I was approached with this project, ten photographers taking time each month to be creative in an “unplugged” atmosphere and photographing it, I jumped at the opportunity. With the school year beginning TV and iPad time becomes limited but making a conscious effort to go out and explore the world around us in new and exciting ways sounded like a welcomed creative push.
For our first month’s shoot I took the boys to Fairchild Gardens with a bag full of masks and capes (something they and Ienjoy)! We spent a few hours walking around, exploring, ROARING, chasing bad guys and saving the world! The uninhibited nature of children excites me and spending a few hours in these magical gardens reminded me of the importance of these moments – to them and to me. So thank you Monica for initiating this beautiful project, I look forward to the months ahead and what will transpire!
