There is always a silver lining to every situation and as difficult as being away from my family is, the fact I am able to spend so much time with many different friends is wonderful.  I have known Briana since we were 5 years old and having a week with her and her 6 year old daughter allowed me to really get to know her daughter and catch up with her in a way we hadn't done in years. Briana is such an incredible mother and it is evident in the jewel of a child she is single handedly raising.  I am so happy I spent an afternoon photographing them and the bond they share.
