Adelia turns one

It is hard to believe my rainbow baby is already a year old! We celebrated with a two part party, first giving her a Dol Ceremony, a tradition in Korea for a one year old. Having a close Korean family friend to lead it for us we placed Adelia in front of an array of objects to see what she would choose. What she picked up would signify the future for which she is destined. She chose the paintbrush (maybe she will be an artist like me) and then the scribe (which would be a scholar like her father)... I would say she nailed it! It was such a wonderful thing to do, and to be surrounded by family and close friends made it all the more special!
